As Chief Investment Officer, Krystal England oversees underwriting and closing processes while working to expand the firm’s capital markets relationships and geographic reach. Her background in financing and partnership negotiations is instrumental as the firm pursues new opportunities, including ground-up development and acquisitions, with a focus on markets with high barriers to entry and diverse demand drivers. Since joining TMGOC Ventures, England has already helped double the Firm’s portfolio and added new preferred equity and rescue capital offerings to its capabilities.

Prior to joining TMGOC Ventures, England was a Managing Director at Canyon Partners Real Estate in Los Angeles where she oversaw hospitality investments. Her duties included originating, structuring, and closing the firm’s hospitality and mixed-use real estate investments, including senior loans, mezzanine loans, preferred equity, and co-GP equity positions. During her tenure as an originator at Canyon, England was responsible for over $450 million in capital deployed representing over $1.6 billion in total asset capitalization; as a senior asset manager, she oversaw a $1.5 billion hospitality portfolio comprising both debt and equity investments.

England brings a rich construction investing and financing background, highlighted by a collection of iconic properties including the SLS Brickell, Moxy by Marriott South Beach, Culver City’s Ivy Station (which includes the Shay Hotel, a Destination by Hyatt hotel), the Carte (Curio) in Downtown San Diego, Hotel NIA (Autograph) in Menlo Park, Moxy Charleston Downtown, and Residences at Little Nell (Aspen) among others.
